This is to be compared with the 230,965 units of pre-pandemic June 2019. The year-to-date volume is now up a meagre 2.8% to 914,830. In June, petrol sales are down a harsh -20.4% to 54,360, diesel is off -8.5% to 16,198, HEVs soar 35.3% to 62,357 including 28,020 mild hybrids.

In contrast Haval (+83.7%) advances fast to 12.2% share vs. 11.3% and while Chery (+34.7%) captures less ground than the overall trend it sees its market share progress to 10.9% vs. 9.9% year-to-date.
