Ram is slated to offer a new 5500 FCEV in the United States. The hydrogen-powered truck will reportedly be built in Mexico. Last fall, Ram announced plans for “four electrified pickup trucks over the next two years” as part of a North American offensive that would include the 1500 REV as well as a “new hydrogen solution to come.” We’re starting to learn more about the latter and it’s not exactly what we were expecting.
