Norway September 2024: BEVs break share record again at 96.4%

The Tesla Model 3 reaches its 2nd highest market share at 15.9% 12,966 new cars hit Norwegian roads in September, a sturdy 25.4% year-on-year improvement. Keep in mind the year-ago basis was particularly low as the market dropped -29.4% on the year prior. Year-to-date sales remain in negative at -3.9% to 91,798. For the second month in a row, BEVs reach a record market share in September at 96.4% vs. 87% a year ago thanks to sales up 38.8% to 12,495.

EV sales are off -7.7% year-on-year to 11,535 and 44.8% share vs. 44.4% a year ago while PHEVs edge down -2.7% to 5,193 and 20.2% share vs. 19% in September 2023.
