The Skoda Karoq is now #2 year-to-date. 18,242 new cars found a buyer in Czechia in September, a solid 6% year-on-year improvement. The year-to-date tally is now up 2.6% to 171,999. Local behemoth Skoda posts a very satisfying score at +12% year-on-year to 38.9% share vs. 33.9% so far this year. This is the brand’s highest share since January when it hit 42.3% of its home market.

Once again local powerhouse Dacia (-33.4%) is in total freefall to 23.7% share, its lowest since March 2022 (22.6%) and compare to 29.6% year-to-date. Hyundai (+54.4%) surges ahead to 9.4% share vs. just 6.8% so far the year, distancing Toyota (+4.9%).
