Stellantis aftermarket division Mopar has expanded its lineup of crate engines with the new Hurricane inline-6. The Hurricane is a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 that's slowly making its way into Stellantis vehicles as a replacement for the automaker's V-8 lineup, including eventually in the redesigned Dodge Charger where it will be offered.

MG sales are up 351.1% year-on-year in July. 4,275 new cars hit Luxembourg rods in July, a meagre 1.6% year-on-year lift. The year-to-date volume is still in negative however at -4.4% to 29,360. This month Volkswagen (-18.1%) reclaims the brands top spot with 11.3% share and despite a hefty year-on-year loss. BMW (+10.2%) drops to #2 and 10.6% of the market, Mercedes (+27.9%) lodges a stellar result at 9% share vs. 7.7% over the first 7 months of the year, overtaking Audi (-8.6%).

A Ford dealer in Nebraska has been hit with a $40k fine for deleting emissions equipment from diesel trucks. Moody Motor Co from Niobrara bought delete kits from Diesel Performance of Texas and fitted them to up to 20 trucks between 2019 and 2022, the EPA says. The delete kits removed legally-required emissions tech from the trucks, violating the Clean Air Act.
