Xpeng G9 6,456 new cars hit Norwegian roads in July, a harsh -14.2% year-on-year decline. The year-to-date tally is off by an equally disappointing -8.6% to 67,718. BEVs fall slower than the market in July at -3.5% to 5,934 units, resulting in an improved market share at 91.9% vs. 81.7% in July 2023. Year-to-date BEV volumes are down -5.6% to 57,964 and 85.6% share vs. 82.9% over the same period last year.

Germany recorded 30,762 EV registrations in July 2024, representing a 36.8 percent drop compared to July 2023. The EV share in Europe’s biggest market fell to 12.9%, from 20% in a year, following the government’s decision to cut subsidies. Randy Marion Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram in Wilkesboro quit a Stellantis sales and service contract in June and wants the automaker to repurchase 3,841 vehicles.
