After gaining 5.5% year-on-year in January to 11,074 units (+6.6% to 12,084 including LCVs), the Moroccan new car market returns to negative territory in February at -12.3% to 9,463 units (-9.3% to 10,765 including LCVs). The Toyota Corolla Cross is estimated to rank #10 in Pakistan this month. Sales of locally produced light vehicles rally back up 68.5% on a particularly horrendous year-ago result to 9,709. The year-to-date tally is now up 21.7% to 20,245. This is according to local association PAMA. Nearly 170,000 Hyundai Motor Group electric vehicles (EVs) are being recalled in South Korea due to a software error in their charging system. Road deaths are on the rise, new data has shown, as the Australian peak motoring body continues its call for road safety reform. Government data shows a total of 1286 people have died on Australian roads in the 12-month period ending on February 29, 2024. That’s up 9.9 per cent on the previous 12-month period. In the month of February alone, 110 road deaths were recorded, up 25 per cent on February 2023 and up from 97 in January.
