Suzuki is the best-selling carmaker in Chile for the first time in over 2 years. After 20 consecutive months of year-on-year falls, the Chilean new light vehicle market bounces back up 30.6% year-on-year in April to 25,490 sales. Note April 2023 was off -48.4% on the year prior. The year-to-date tally is down -12.9% to 96,582 units. This month, Passenger Cars are up 8.8% to 5,426, SUVs up 27.6% to 11,979, pickups up 70.6% to 5,412 and vans up 35.2% to 2,673.
