A 20-year-old will have some explaining to do after being caught allegedly speeding at almost double the limit in his dad’s car. On Friday July 26, Hawkesbury Highway Patrol officers detected a Ford Falcon G6E Turbo allegedly being driven towards them at between 144km/h and 157km/h in an 80km/h signposted section of Boundary Road. After pulling over, the 20-year-old driver – who had a passenger on board – was reportedly left speechless, offering no explanation for his high-speed antics.
