Rivian could add a deployable roof-top canopy to the list of accessories for its EVs, if a recent patent filing is any indication. The automaker filed a patent application titled "Canopy with Deployable Structure" with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in early 2023; that application was published by the USPTO on May 14.

A US customer received a brand new Ford Mustang Dark Horse with mismatched taillights. The ‘incorrect’ tail light appears to be the same as the ones used in Mustangs destined for export markets like the Australia and Europe. The owner is hoping Ford replaces the US-spec taillight with the “incorrect” one, creating a one-of-a-kind Mustang Dark Horse.

Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen survived a late charge by McLaren's Lando Norris to take home the win on Sunday at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, which served as round seven of the 2024 Formula 1 season. The reigning champion finished just 0.7 of a second ahead of Norris at the race which was held at Italy's Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino.

A large car platform intended for a new large electric Mercedes-Benz has reportedly been cancelled by the German car maker. German media outlets have reported that Mercedes-Benz has stopped work on a dedicated electric car platform designed for large vehicles after sales of its existing electric cars have slowed.
