Audi R8 production has come to an end after 17 years and two generations launched. The final example of the mid-engine supercar rolled off the line at a plant in Germany last week, but it isn't destined for a customer. The Australian Government has made key concessions to its proposed New Vehicle Efficiency Standard (NVES) to try and assure its passage through Parliament. The news hardly comes as a surprise, as the automaker had previously announced plans to phase out the model in the first quarter, but it’s bittersweet nonetheless.
